Imagine a car full of assassins are chasing your car to kill you. At that time those perfect forks won't help but if the twisted one is thrown at the tiers then it might do the trick so I believe unique is useful.

I have some past related to the word unique. When I was little I used to make different thing like paper weights, pen holders etc out of junk. Sometimes I wasted a lot of time in it. My Grandmother used to say my work are unique but useless compared to the time spend, when I saw it some of the memories came to my mind and I made that comment. Please don't mind.

No don't mind at all and making something unique has no time frame, not in my book. As much as this is a joke, it is also there to try to make a point. Being unique is wonderful, but doing so for the simple fact of doing so can make the uniqueness invalid.

Very nice. I like it.

On the flip side you could take the remaining useul forks for one more picture with the caption "yes you're unique, just like everyone else"

Oh that is fantastic! Thank you!

I was really attracted to the forks because it reminded me of a sculpture series I saw a few years back which was commenting on eating disorders. One of the pieces was a collection of hazardous cutlery, all bent out of shape, or made out of media such as barbed wire. It was very thought provoking. For myself, I am attracted to pieces in which everyday objects are used to communicate a message. People underestimate the presence of something they see every day to get a point across...

Thank you for sharing and responding to my comment. What a joy!

[link] You will love that site then :)

One of my favorite things to shoot are found objects, they always have so much to say when they are out of the normal environment.

I hope to get back to this series in the near future, it is something my daughter and I just need to sit down and finish. Thank you for all the kind words, been nice to read them since the last few weeks have been depressing, gave me a little more pep when I read them.

Cool, I like this pic a lot. The forks are all lined up in such a way that the pic looks so balanced and clean, and then you have the bent fork to throw off the "order". The contrast is wonderfully done.

You really dont know how much i want this on my wall, i need a credit card :(

But again such a great idea, to bad you had to lose a fork in the process.

Did you ever think of doing one where the unique fork wasnt bent and all the others where?
Though that wouldnt go at all with the concept..

"10.00 USD United States Dollars = 5.67506 GBP"

So that would be about 5.60, very good. :)
