A sad statement....

...on how this community has changed or at least I think it is. We are no longer about the art or the artist, not to the masses at least. When an artist like ~abnormalbrain has not been discovered it only helps to prove my point. After four years he has a tad over 1600 page views and 1000 of them came from the DD, I think he deserves some recognition.

I found him through the Daily Deviation he received for

a few days ago.

Anyone that loves Boo Berry enough to create this image

he has to be a good guy.

No it's not about page views, but a talented artist that has been here for that long should have more people interested in him is my point.

Yeah, but in this day and age on deviantART his artistic style, however great it may be, is not the popular style and therefore won't get as much recognition as someone who does even the shittiest of animu crap.

Yep, pretty much the whole point of the journal. I remember when an artist was known because of their skill and creativity, not because they have 3,000 friends that have no idea about talent.

Yes it can and I chose to say it about this one, maybe others will start saying something about other artists as well. Just because it is now the norm, does not mean it should be this way.

before you get too down on the community for not discovering this artist, did you notice that the oldest work in the gallery is from Feb 24 this year ? He may have been lurking for quite some time before posting anything.
