So teaching people that using a condom will help protect you from disease and a possible death sentence (in places like Africa) will only help spread AIDS/HIV even further.
Some stats on Africa....
The disease has killed more than 25 million people since the early 1980s, mostly in sub-Saharan Africa, and some 22.5 million Africans are living with HIV.
..and of course the third world countries with the highest HIV/AIDS infections are also mainly Catholic, India being the exception, Africa and Haiti being the point.

This man is all that is wrong with religion and should be removed from his throne of judgment and power.
