How stupid can stupid be?

Journal Entry: Mon Apr 27, 2009, 2:59 AM
First off I am very pissed off about this, I just found someone on Cafe Press selling Unique on t-shirts. What has me laughing my ass off at the same time? The fucking idiot did not even remove the ©2005 Jessy and John Williams copyright notice from the image.

What a way to start off my day.

Update!

Heard back from Cafepress, gotta love them they not only stopped this asshole from being able to sell anything till it's cleared up, I also now have their name, address and telephone number.

Oh yeah and he is a member of deviantART

Grrr sorry to hear. that is really annoying, and glad you could get it removed, at least. Any way you can get any money for damages?

Ripping him a new one sounds appealing. So do several different types of torture. If he's in Art School he *should* know better

That's what happens with good ideas. Everyone wants a piece of it.

that sucks that they stole your work, but it's horrible business practice to give out names and addresses of employees.
i honestly would be more upset about that. Someone using your copyrighted work can be fixed easily with a phone call to the company and a lawyer. But a company giving out your private information really terrifies me much much more.

He is not an employee, he is an individual selling on Cafepress just like myself. Giving out this persons personal information is something we agree to when joining the site. Steal someones work and your personal information will be given out in order for me to solve the matter personally.

It is harder than you think to go after someone for copyright infringement. Stopping the selling of the work is one thing, but going after money made is another.

ahhh i gotcha.

I thought he was some employee and the company gave out their info.

that makes a lot more sense.

i actually kinda like that method.
especially if your in the mob.
